I currently have a number of positions available to work in Australia. My clients are looking for Data Scientist’s / Analyst & Big Data experts with good skills in Hadoop & Analytics. You will be work directly with prospective customers’ technical resources to devise and recommend solutions based on the understood requirements as well as analyse complex distributed production deployments, and make recommendations to optimize performance as well as master the Hadoop stack, the Hadoop Eco-System products and maintain proficiency and currency as the technology evolves and advances. You will need to achieve and maintain proficiency with Hadoop cluster and Hadoop Framework installation, debugging, and performance measurement/optimization

Skills needed are:

  • Familiarity with Hadoop and the Hadoop Eco-System framework

  • It is a  must that you are familiar with the  Java ecosystem and enterprise offerings

  • Solid background in Database administration or design. It would be good if you have experience using R and the algorithms provided by Mahout

  • The Big Data consultant must understand big data use-cases, and recommend standard design patterns commonly used in Hadoop-based deployments with knowledge of the data management eco-system including: Concepts of data warehousing, ETL, data integration, etc
